On an 05 GS500F the running light in the rear does not come on. I took the plastic off to check the bulbs but they both come on when the brake light is applied. Any ideas of what to check?
BTW - where is the fuse box on this beast? I've taken off the side fairings, the seat and have the rear fairing half off but don't see what I would consider a motorcycle fuse box. I see the 20amp fuse on the right side. I have a print of a pdf manual but the pic of the fuse box is so bad I'm not even sure it's the same model of bike.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
dual filament bulbs in the tail light. try pulling them out and look for blown filament wire. easiest place to start, maybe a quick replacement will fix

That is the spare fuse, which is in the cover for the one that is actually in use.
There is only one fuse used for everything on this bike, if you get anything at all the fuse is good.

Bingo!!! The same filament is burnt out on both bulbs. You just saved me some time and money chasing down a non-existent wiring issue. Thanks a lot :thumb:

After I made that post I realized that the 20amp fuse was what the blurry picture was referring to and indeed the 'fuse box' for this bike was one fuse. Is this Fred Flinstones bike or what?
