Title: Recommend a tail bag?
Post by: polar8 on August 22, 2010, 06:12:05 PM
I'm looking for a tail bag for my '04 GS500 that looks like this (hard neoprene). Any suggestions?

If I was gonna get one it would be the cortech CL-85 expandable sport tail bag.

Axio makes a hard pack tail bag, which I've seen in person and seem good but not much bigger than a tank bag.

Rapid transit also makes some really nice stuff you should look into.

My 2 pennies.  :icon_lol:

Yeah, the cortech sport tailbag looks the most similar to that picture.

I own the Cortech bag, and used it fairly regularly before I bought the GT. Quite happy with it.

Total capacity is about the size of a paper shopping bag, or two plastic shopping bags. Although it expands sideways, using the entire space can sometimes be a hassle with large objects that can't easily fit through the opening. The bag is large enough to store a helmet, with a small amount of space to spare.
