Anybody know how to compare master cylinders? Wondering if the stock GS unit has enough pressure to run the dual front calipers from an '87 CBR 600.

you can measure the total surface area of the pistons (pi*r^2) both on the gs and on the other one and the one with more area total will have a softer lever feel but it will brake harder with the same force squeeze on the lever. if there are pistons on both sides of any caliper just go with the area from one side of the caliper. if the areas are dramatically different you might end up with the lever reaching the handgrip before locking up the front wheel. I am not really sure how they numbered or anything but this is a basic hydraulic principal. Same area=same total squeezing force. Twice as many calipers means twice the grabbing force of one caliper. I am imagining that master cylinders are all roughly the same size, or at least close enough to work.
