Title: In need of some massive help!!!!
Post by: hokierower on August 25, 2010, 06:43:32 PM
I went to do a uber-fenderectomy and a indicator light switch today and ended up in a nightmare.

The two procedures went fine and look pretty bad ass, but when I removed the rear fairing I had to take off the seat release clip.  Then when I went to connect the lights to the circuit, the lines ended up being too short and the system that I bought to fix that didn't work/fit.  So I started putting the bike together with the intention of finishing tomorrow.  I throw it all on, loosely tightening all the bolts.  Throw the seat on and go $(%*!!!  I forgot to reconnect the seat release.

So the seat is on, and the seat release doesn't work and the seat is in there good.  How do I get it off?

I'd say take the rear fender (not the fairing) off, there are 5 bolts and go underneath the seat release.

if you can move the fender down enough to get your hand in there, flip the release switch. every time I take the rear fairing off I worry that i would do just that, or lock the keys under the seat.

good luck
