Does anyone know where to get these for cheap? The local Buell dealer here sold them for $23 a piece, but they were on back-order so I could have expected to get them in a month or so
Also saw something similar on ebay for around $20/pair, but not sure if they're as good. Another option was to buy a set of 4 generic signals for $20. Any suggestions?
A few people parting out bikes on buellxb.com at the moment. Good luck getting anything from the HD dealership. They stopped producing things normally, and instead fill every order on backorder and wait until the numbers pile up high enough for them to consider it worth making another batch. Then they ship them and go straight back to being on back order. Very sad.
How about these?

These look pretty similar to the factory ones.
BUMP
Bumping this thread again before it disappears. Has anyone changed their turn signals, or is this a rare thing?
Just buy the turn signals, they all work, they're just light bulbs. Or if they're LED's, you might need to install some resistors to get the flashing normal.
Just for reference, I don't think those are Buell turn signals, at least that's not what's on mine. I think they're just cheap chinese signals and they put Buell in the title thinking people who wanted Buell signals would find them and buy them.
These are mine, but I don't think I have any good pictures....

Here's some from a little farther back on another bike...

The Buell lights have tinted covers and the orange pieces inside are flatter, without the round bumps in the middle. The stem is also square, and not round. Just browse ebay and find some you like. They all do the same thing.

buell is buying from china ? i dunno, but when i bought mine @ the stealership a few years ago it was both of this style, as in, not a matched set of four. i'm betting on buell buying wahtever/wherever as they knew buell was getting the axe soon.
the ones in the second picture were of better quality, or at least seemed to fit together better. the lenses stayed fog free until i sold the bike. very nice, very bright signals. you'll want to replace your resistive flasher with an electronic flasher, so it will flash at the right rate and fully illuminate the bulbs.
my 2cents :)

I have. I have the short (rear) buell signals up front and in the rear. It is a great upgrade.. The only hard part if finding the suckers.
Try buell forums - that is where I got mine.
We're new GS owners, so not being snarky, just looking for info...
What do the Buell signals do that the Suzuki ones don't?
They are smaller in size and brighter than the GS lights IMO.
They look about 100x better... But again, that's my opinion.

+1
they make the gs look much more modern than the big-eared look of the "E" model stuffs. :)
So after some exhaustive searching for Buell signals I've finally given up. I did see them on some websites but they're $20 each and I need 4 :icon_rolleyes: Definitely too expensive for a piece of plastic.
I'm trying to fit the old stock signals to my modified fender. I cut the fender all the way to the top which leaves me little space to mount those huge things. If only there was something smaller I could get without sacrificing the quality of the brightness. Sigh.
Search ebay periodically. I got a pair for $14 a couple years ago.
What're you talking about? I already posted that link to a set of 4 for $9. I did all the work for you!
It will cost over $20 to ship to canada, plus whatever the price will be at the end of the auction. And the seller will only ship UPS, which charges brokerage fees on top of the price. So $10 for 4 signals soon turns into $100.
Ohhh your in Canada, eh?
NVM lol
I"m not 100% sure because I don't have my stock signals anymore to check them out, but isn't there a way to shorten them? Pull them apart and ditch the long spacers? I swear I did it to mine before I just ended up replacing them, but that could've been something else I was thinking of.
