Yeaaaaa bluknyt ... how you been ... yea I am now the buddha - lameo ... but what can you do, in this recession I cannot afford a better nick name.
Anyway 40's no problems, you need floats ? I've never seen em go - not even with water, rebuild kits - you need a gasket ? then you're gonna have to buy one, all the O rings I used to have, I think I have all except 1 - you can trial fit @ auto parts store and buy em.
Floats - I have to look, see I have like 3-4 carbs I have split, but I have 3-4 bikes that could need them. I do know I have a kat rack here somewhere, I in fact have 2, but sold all the floats and slides off 1.
Cool.

the float parts is alittle funny,  i have 4 racks of carbs with a 5th set of 2 GSXR1100 carbs mated to 500 rack (experrimental for future large bore 500+ engine)  one set of floats has the float needle molded onto plastic frame with floats, others i have are the seporate brass needle and seat. i only have 2 float needles in good shape that work for molded needle seat, all brass ones are missing float needles. one of the molded set has a busted Oring shoulder for the Choke circut (the little tube on float frame)  so the little Oring wont stay on. most my auto zones and advance auto's and even my local napa dont carry Orings that small and i was quoted 30$ each for carb kits.  the set that was on the bike, one #40 pilot is stuck and striped out, untill i can locate my easy outs to try and back it out, im counting that rack as spare parts, but, thats the one that busted the ORING shoulder inside.  the 150 mains i was able to save, but im thinking i should probly Gather more parts and get another rack in shape and start tearing down the bench motor i have and fix the CB shaft bearings unless Crank balencing has gotten cheaper?

on another note i was thinking of a video i seen on youtube  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQEVHd1cSyw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQEVHd1cSyw) GR650 pistons in a gs500??  what are engine specs of a GR650, i know Bore and stroke is like 77mmX 70mm on the GR, but, what im wondering is , the cases look very simular, and was wondering if the GR crank, Rods pistons,Cyl, and ported 500 head would work in a 500case
or even porting a 500 head and puting it on a GR650 and just dealing with the 5 gear tranny.

bluknyt - that float spigot and floats in 1 unit will fit the GS, its actually a rather nice setup, I like it a lot. Anyway rebuild kits have showed up cheaper - google it or ask here, someone has to have bought em recently.

GR pistons ... I got a whole GR motor in the gs frame. I doubt the guts of a GR will fit.
