Title: Fork Seals

will theses work for a 2005 gs500? i can't find ones that say there for 2004+ gs's

You have to get 2005+ ones from the dealer.  >:(   They are quite a bit more expensive, too, I paid about $23 a piece for mine.  The dust seals are different too and they are more expensive as well.

If I may piggyback on this thread:

I got some cheap seals off ebay for my '94 GS500E. Put em in, one is fine one leaks.

Any opinions on brand? The side that leaks, there's a couple LITTLE dings on the fork tube, so maybe that's the issue and not the seal. Hard to say, but a new seal is a lot cheaper than a new tube. Just looking for anyone's thoughts...

I bought some cheap fork seals and dust caps off eBay when I replaced the springs on my wifes bike.  They didn't match the stock ones just looking at them, but fit so I went with it.  1k miles later, no leaks.  I'd guess it's the pitting on the tubes causing the leak.

Installed one of these (Piramyd purchased at ebay) in August.

They work great.  I had a leak and replacing both seals and dust seals I got it working again.
They are 1000Km old today.
