Title: catch 22
Post by: jserio on September 12, 2010, 11:15:19 PM
Hello guys/gals. I know it's been awhile. I'm so frustrated, I had to come back here and post. I need to vent. I'm almost done with my assocites degree in network engineering. was working as a cnc machinist before getting laid off. i've applied for both types of positions and can't even seem to land an interview. I even applied for a stockroom positon at the local hospital and they sent me a letter saying they were pursuing better qualified candidtes. wtf? seriously. i'm so pissed right now. i know that nobody owes me anything and that i'm nobody special, but i'm trying to support my wife and kids. what the hell does a guy gotta do to get a break? </rant>

Bummer man. Sorry to hear that.

Where are you from? I work in a machine shop in PA and we are always looking for qualified machinists.

What a drag man.  I agree with Jay.  That and timing is everything.  My hat is off to you for being willing to do something totally different to get the food on the table.  Seems like lately the jobs are finally opening up around here.  I hope for the same for you in your area.

Good luck to you.
