In today's news Kawasaki is responsible for hundreds of deaths because of their new "text message view on dash"...
Yeah I can see it now.
What kind of survey is that?! doesn't kawasaki have a department tucked in there somewhere for research and common sense??
A helmet hook and adjustable clutch/brake levers should already be on a bike like that, so that leaves Fuel injection as the only logical choice.
NONE of the other options even need to be considered for a bike like that. How does Kawasaki have no idea who it is that's riding that bike??
My theory is that the head of marketing used to deal drugs. They will put all those bells and whistles on the begginer bike for free. Then you get used to all that crap. When you want to upgrade to a bigger bike, it's no longer free.

Ok. So you've all seen the video of the guy texting while riding, right? http://www.hohalla.com/videodisplay.htm?vidid=qEjiw1VcPGU
Another candid shot...

And another

And another - not even wearing a helmet while he is texting (see it, yet?)

Well... this guy was fined $156 for texting while riding http://www.boston.com/news/local/vermont/articles/2010/09/06/vt_man_ticketed_for_texting_while_riding/ (why is there even a law for this WTF?)
And in case you're thinking of doing it... the interweb told me these are the procedures to follow...
QuoteThe correct precedure is to take phone out and swerve all over the road while texting, this will make people try and avoid you. Then make sure you keep your eyes on the phone and make as many traffic problems as possible, hopefully having someone run into you. Then stand in the middle of the traffic and argue about the 30,000vnd damage done to your moto, this will hopefully cause even more problems for the free flowing traffic that exists here.
The correct attire for riding a moto and texting is, a face mask and a floppy hat pulled down over your face so that you now have no peripheral vision. This will help so that you are locked into a limited line of sight and nothing else exists in your little world.
Don't try this at home...

...ok, so I still can't find the guy texting with no helmet...
Lots of criticism over this but lets get the big picture before jumping to conclusions. I read some blurb about this system a few months ago and in it Kwak` were quick to point out that their new bluetooth system was safe and would not cause any major distractions. It indicates you have an incoming message but it wont allow access to it until you are stationary.......seems safe enough to me :thumb:
i've seen women apply makeup, guys flossing, bj's, screwing, reading, nose hair clipping, girls gettin blown, tons of stuff, the only thing that scares me is a teenager texting. everyone else is doing 10-20 mph (imagine that) LESS than the speedlimit for some reason ;-) with a biiiiiig grin on their face.
the txting fools are teh ones to re-end you at 55 mph, and act like WTF DUDE WTF DID YOU COME FROM !!!!!?!?!??? etc
we recently passed a txt'ing ban in my village, 1st offense $200, second offense yank the license, 3rd jail time. mandatory. i think the fines are way too low though.
I like using my phone to take pictures of myself while i'm riding... :dunno_black:
