Title: Choke cable replacement?
Post by: samburger on September 29, 2010, 06:11:30 PM
My 96 GS500E came with no choke cable. It had broken on the previous owner & instead of replacing it, he settled for attaching a zip-tie to the level & pulling it out when needed. This bike is my daily driver & will remain so through all four seasons, so I need to be able to start riding the bike with the lever pulled when it gets cold instead of having to hold it out until the bike gets warmed up, & then start riding.

Anyway, I know replacing cables is always incredibly easy. But since it came without a cable, & don't know where to run it or how to reconnect it. Can someone please just post a few pictures or maybe even a short video of where the cable is supposed to go & how I'm supposed to connect it on each end? I would feel so stupid paying a mechanic to install a cable for me.
