Title: Putting her to bed.
Post by: reajcox on October 20, 2010, 12:32:52 PM
I've been getting my garage ready for the past couple days to get my GS in and keep her from car doors and debris let alone the Ohio weather. Curiosity got me wondering.......

With the riding season coming to an end, lets see and hear from you about your GS hibernation.

The nice thing about living in TX is that you can pretty much ride year round.  The pitfall being that it's too dang hot in the summer, but they all have their spot in the garage.

No hibernation for me here in NE Ohio I ride all year around and have for 26 years so far.  Only when streets are free of ice and snow but I splash thru the salt water between snows.  Use to cut it off when temps went below 20F but I'm getting older now I guess and didn't go out below 30F last year.  If you don't believe it one quick look at my bike will convince you.   :icon_lol:

Got a permanent spot in my basement year round. If the bike hasn't been started in a couple weeks I'll hook up a charger and I've got a bottle of gas stabilizer. Other than that they pretty much just hang out.
