What would work? Not that I intend to have passengers, they do make a nice temporary helmet holder. ;)
I'd like to replace them with knurled pegs to match the driver Gimbel pegs.
What model of bike has compatible pegs? :dunno_black: :dunno_black:
Would any of these work?

I believe I have seen SV rears on a GS before, not sure if that's what you are looking for but they looked really nice.
If i put the SV pegs on the front, do they have to be modded?
All I want is something metal to replace the big fugley rubber passenger pegs. With the nice Gimbel pegs for the driver, the passenger pegs should be something metal. Ohhhhhh shiny pretty things :icon_lol:
Not in the mood to cut the frame so something I can take off the fugleys and put the shiny pretty sparkley bling things in their place.
If SV 650 or SV1000 passenger pegs are a direct replacement then that would be fine. Are they? Or is something else a direct swap?
I just wanted to know if i can get some different pegs that are direct replacement, because i dont like the thick rubber stock pegs on my bike.
Same here.
Looking at the parts list, the same pin is used to hold on the driver and passenger pegs. Same washer on both. I do know the rubber of the peg acts like the spring to hold them up or down. That would be the only issue to deal with and would be an easy fix with either neodinum magnets or something else.
So who has swapped pegs? Are any listed in the first post ones that would fit? (I'll consider keeping them in the UP position a separate issue that I can deal with.) I can leave them up for now as I don't carry passengers and can't with the solo seat (that's a good excuse when someone wants a ride on the back: no can do!)
Driver pegs don't have to swing up and they are never supposed to stay up anyway.

You do want them to be able to move up and down, though. The point is if you are leaning hard in a turn and scrape a peg you don't catch it on the concrete and lose control!
So which fits? SV650 (SV1000,TL1000) or GSXR1000 (600, 750, etc.)? There are nice after market peg sets. The spring and detent can be picked up at a dealer for a couple bucks.
(Didn't say pegs shouldn't swing up, but if Juniors higher pegs hit the ground, I'm already under a bus :o.)
I have sv650 pegs on the rear of my bike. fit perfect, after I put a complete sv650 tail w/sv650 subframe on it. there is a link somewhere with instructions for putting sv650/gsxr passenger pegs on the rear of the bike. it involved drilling a hole in the mount for a roll pin to act as a stop to keep the peg from rotating to far to the ground, as the rear mount on the gs500 doesn't have a bottom to the mount as the front does
Thank you. I found these. That was what I was hoping for. A little grinding or drilling a hole is fine. I am not willing to chop the mounts off of the frame.
Looks like lots of pegs can work with a little grinding or modification of the peg and very little done to the bike. :woohoo:

The gixxer pegs for $20 fit well with very little modding. Got 'em on Flick work very well!
