Here is my 2007 GS500F that I turned into and "E" model by removing the fairings and front cowling. I installed a Dual Dominator headlight, Tag X5 handlebars, Delkevic slipon exhaust, GrabOn Grips. I also polished the lips of the rims. Bike has brand new tires and a recent oil/oil filter change. Just over 15k miles on it. Engine was professionally rebuilt at 12,081 miles and has run perfect since. Good breaks. This bike really is awesome for it's size, it's all I've ever needed and I love it in the curves.
I need to sell to pay off a debt...I can always buy another bike down the road.

why was the engine rebuilt? just curious
It had let it run low on oil. Which was my mistake. I just wasn't familiar with how parallel twins can really drink them up. Stupid mistake, yes. Learned from it, you bet! I burnt up the crankshaft and bearings. The case and everything else was fine. I bought a new crankshaft, bearings and rods (wasn't cheap) and had it professionally rebuilt by a mechanic who has been a service tech in the powersports business for 30+ years. I've ridden the bike 3000 miles since it was rebuilt. I changed the oil about 500 miles ago. Not one problem at all. I really do not want to sell this bike, but I need the money more than the bike right now. I've checked the oil about every 500 or 600 miles since the rebuild. From what I have found, at that point, it's about half a quart low, which from what I've read is normal. If the bike doesn't sell, no worries, I'll ride it happily on warm days between now and Spring. When Spring comes, it'll be a daily driver for me like it was this summer. It was rebuilt in May.
So there has been no interest in my bike since posting it. I will start taking offers.

$500 cash
(assuming it has a clean and clear title without liens or anything of that sort.)
At least my offer will help give some momentum to this post :)
With Christmas coming, you could try putting it without a reserve on eBay and start at 1 cent. It should get a lot of bids.
Try CraigsList, thats where I found my bike.
The new thing around here is Mautofied.com
it seems sketchy to me but I have a friend that swears by it
I've had it on Craigslist for a while too. I'm moving out of state next month and really need to sell it before I do. I can't give it away though.
bump.
What did you do with the old bodywork? I'd be interested in that if you have it around..........
What do you mean by "polished the lips of the rims?" They don't look polished..
What that means is I have polished the rims :cookoo:
Though I do not have a picture up...

Yeah that's the only reason I was wondering is because they're not polished in the pics, and I've never seen anyone polish the lip on painted rims.
