I have a swing arm that looks like it would fit but looks a little shorter. What would the handleing effect be for a shorter swing arm assuming the rest of the bike stays the same including the rear shock. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Little less stable, quicker steering and stiffer rear suspension. Might be clearance isues at the front of the tyre, brake arm would need modifying.
Yep, sharper steering and a slightly lighter front end. the gs doesnt haven't any issues with the front wheel coming off the ground, but maybe if you make it short enough you can arrange for that problem!
If its a stock one how short do you want to go? You havent got much room to play with, the edges of the tyre will foul on the inner face of each arm where they bend in towards the pivot.
I am looking at a Suzuki Across one(gsx250f) I have an extra one and they have a standard 140-17 tyre at the swing arm looks very similar(even the chain guard is swapable) Anyone know the width of the swingarm on the gs(at the front) and the internal diameter of the bearings just so I can compare.
