i am thinking about pulling it apart my self and well trying to replace the crankshaft my self . what you guys think is it worth a shot or just buy a new engin. looks to me there pretty easy to come by????
Bottom end is near impossible to rebuild. The bearings in larger sizes are not available, so you're goign to have to weld and turn the journals to where its true and the right diameter. I would just get a motor, its not worth rebuilding.
Cool.
Buddha.
What size are the "unavailable" bearings? You can always have bearings made.

Actually you cant cos they are required to be something in the 10,000 th's for accuracy and they only make 1000 th's.
BTW it will still cost way more than the bloody bike is worth.
A motor is far cheaper. Heck a GR motor is cheaper, I'd gladly sell em for 750 or so and I have atleast 3 waiting for a home.

A good machinist can do 10,000's...but yeah, probably expensive.
