The build is complete so I have changed this too a Before and After thread instead!
I put an add on kijiji and purchased this bike for $500 bucks! Here is the Original picture from when I got it home!

It was pretty Mangled and Hurtin, engine only ran off one cylinder and there were stickers, dents, rust and loose bolts all over it.
Now this is what it looks like after a winter of tearing it down to frame and building it back up..

Thanks for looking, now its time to ride it!
That paint is wild! I can't really tell if it's metallic or what- and the swirls. What kind of is it? What else do you plan to do? Great project, thanks for posting!

The paint is actually marbleized, its a mazda 3 copper color with straight black, the front fender has been painted the same, but I haven`t mounted it yet. My next plans are too chop the seat to match where the frame ends, have it wrapped in a copper suede with black outline and mount an undertail stop and license. I have led turn signals to install... the space that the rear fairings covers have been stenciled and will be filled with a flush mounted carbon cover, exhaust will be wrapped black and I plan on changing all the hardware to black alan head socket style, I have billet black undermount bar end mirrors to install and the rest I`m still tinkering with what too do!
Looks like you're off to a great start. It's good to see all these new guys coming around that really are putting in an effort to make an otherwise run-of-the-mill bike into something special.
Sick. Can't wait to see it finished.
Have you thought about painting the lower fork legs black?
I've seen it a few times and it really looks killer.
We were thinkin about it when the bike was at the paint shop, but then we decided that leaving them silver broke up the all black look and added a little contrast.
Wow, that's an amazing paint job!
I love the paint job! It really enhances the look of the bike. Tasteful :thumb:

sexy
LOVE the swirl paint job on the tank.... so .... mesmerizing . The heel guards look sweet in carbon.
I'll be watching this thread.
*Update* My bar end mirrors came in.. Had to mock them up to see what they looked like!
you are barely going to fit between cars like that
Subscribed so I can see her when she's finished! :thumb:
As stated in the edited of my post, it finally got warm enough up here in the great white north for me too do some work on the bike, so i cleaned up some wiring and put on my copper exhaust wrap.. Next mission is chopping the seat too match where the tail ends, wiring up the new custom led tail light that came in and installing the new front rotor, sprockets and chain, oh and making the new custom side fairings! So much too do and spring is creeping around the corner! Damn you Canada and your -20 days!
That paint job is a thing of beauty.
How come you heat wrapped the exhaust?
I'm just a fan of wrapped exhaust, i like the contrast it gives.
Fair Call
Small update, but i got the front fender on, its painted to match the tank, sorry about the horrible picture quality but my phone didn't want to co-operate, i think it was the -20c in the garage. Also got the new sprockets and chain on and clutch cover back on... slowly but surely its coming together!
Well she's almost done, some new fork seals and its good to hit the road! Its been a long cold winter putting her back together but it was well worth it!
This is really looking awesome. I like the colour choices and the cleanup on lines and hoses. Keep it coming! Get us a daylight photo when you can. :thumb:
