Title: Bandit 1200 swingarm with gsxr wheel NEED HELP
Post by: ZukiGS500E on December 10, 2010, 07:52:23 AM
i just purchased a bandit 12 swingarm, and have a set of 98 gsxr 600 srad wheels, the axle for the swingarm is too small for the bearings on the gsxr wheel. What bearings can i purchase so that the axle will work on the gsxr wheel?

B12 bearings maybe. That'd be my first guess.
You cant throw random parts together though, bearings are the same across the world, off sized bearings are $$$$$$$ and hard to find. Maybe there isn't a bearing with the ID same as the axle's OD and the OD same as the GSXR wheel. If that's the case you're doomed. Sorta. You can always mill the SA to take the larger axle and use the GSXR axle, which brake caliper and cush are you using. If its all GSXR might as well mill the SA and run GSXR axle.
Cool.

You mean you're making ball bearings ... yeow, you must have some cool equipment over there man.
BTW you can get by with a sleeve in the wheel that would stay captive or something in that vein.
Cool.
