so on Sunday it went for a ride to the shopping centre to buy some good socks and jocks (mmm ones with out holes!)
when i got home i noticed that my upper fairing mount has no paint on it, and in all this rain we have been having here it has turned into this nasty patch of rust. so i guess iam off to Suzuki this arvo after work for some warranty work....
quality control is at it best in Brazil i see...
P.S.
ive taken some pic's but my phone is on charge and ill post them later.
I really have to take some close-up pics of my 02 GS after splashing thru a zillion gallons of salt water with it for 7 winters. Might make those with a little rust on their bikes feel a bit better about it I think. :icon_lol: I do take it to the magic wand type car wash every spring for it's annual wash job and sometimes even take it back a second time later in the season after the spring rains are over for a second wash. I always say if it's nice enough out to wash/wax a bike it's nice enough out to go for a ride instead. :thumb:
my bike is brand new.....
I used to just push my bike outside when it was raining and pretend like the bike was getting a shower. I just ride for fun now(as opposed to commuting) so my bikes stay pretty clean.
I avoid water whenever possible, but seeing as it's my only ride and I have to park it outside, it does get wet on occasion. For cleaning I just rub it down with some 'quick detailer' type stuff, and wax it once a month. I want it to be a show-winning bike on it's 20th birthday O0
What mount are you talking about. Pics would be nice!
