I found this one on ebay. Advertised as "oem original" and I knew by the photos it was something more. That may be why no one else bid. It seemed to be a high end after market seat. Anyone know anything about it? There are no labels or brands on it. The material feels like high quality leather but is a very good imitation leather. The underside even has an extra trim which is hemmed. Paid only $125 for it. I think it was a good deal.
Any thoughts?
(I know it is an E model seat, for Junior. It is sitting on Suzi when I took this photo)

that looks very similar to the Corbin seats
Looks like a Corbin they made for 89-00 GS500E. They haven't made one for the 01 and later GS500/F models with the larger gas tank and different seat.

If it's a glass pan it's a Corbin and yeah that kind of looks like a Corbin but no huge Corbin tag hanging anywhere so probably not.... There was a factory "gel" seat available...used a plastic pan..(had one with one of the GS's here a million years ago but it went with the bike...).
EDIT (besides fixing a fat finger typo..):
That's probably a "factory" gel seat the more I look at it...
I have a corbin and that's not it. I agree with Jared- it's the optional gel seat. I don't think they make them anymore. Let us know what you think of it!
It has a yellowish plastic pan. Seems really well made. Just like good leather, but I believe it is imitation. Right now I have the Gimbel seat on Junior. I probably won't change Junior for a month or so, therefore I won't have an opinion on the seat until then. It looks really comfortable.
I never knew there was a factory seat like that. Its not in the USA parts lists.
No tears in it or cracks so I think it was a good deal.
I'll post after I try it. Unfortunately, I will have an achilles tendon repaired Jan 7 so I'll be out of commission for a month.
That is the factory gel seat 100%. A good seat. Very rare. Corbin is also good, but sits an inch or so lower (different pan and sculpted padding help to lower the effective seat height).
