Title: Savage, Shadow, VStar bobbers
Post by: Grommett2k on December 30, 2010, 12:47:37 PM
Was checking out bluecollarbobbers.com and they have done some pretty cool looking bobber mods on Japanese cruisers. My father in law has an old Shadow he would practically give away. This may be a good inspiration for taking it off his hands. This is an 04 Shadow they modded. Not sure I would buy all the parts of their kits, but some of it would make the mod easier.

A 600 shadow has rear fender made of plastic. The kit aint much more than a fender and some BS like pipes and whatever to make the frame. If you screw it up, the wheels will never align, but if you dont miss it by a lot, it would be just about harder on tars but be nearly OK, afterall its a shadow not like it handles anyway.
Cool.

I dunno my guy has a '06 shadow aero and it rides quite well. Was tough on my back. Actually, he just inherited a '58 Harley Shovel head  and we are going to make it a project. Sounds like it is gonna be alot of fun. We still gotta get the "83 CB900 going. Getting the carbs synched has been a pain!
