Title: New Rims and Clip Ons
Post by: ChemDog on January 04, 2011, 12:36:21 PM
New to the forum and owning a street bike.  Just picked up a 93 gs500e for cheap.  Needed a little work but runs great.  Had a question on new rims for it.  I see everyone using SV650 rears.  Does it matter what year they come off of??  What all is needed in doing the swap??  Can I swap the front as weel so they match??  I am also looking at changing the bars to maybe some clip ons or a beter bar.  Any recomendations??   :dunno_black:

SV rear what ? wheel ? Who is using those, I'd say nearly no one. However a new kat rear wheel is very close to the sv. Main differences being the bearings in the hub, and it fits, so a new 98+ kat wheel is what would fit.
Front ... meeh ... the kat one fits there too.
Clip on's ... well 89 clip on's or get a kat FE ... more $ and more work.
Cool.
