The high beam filament burnt out on my stock F bulb, and I'm looking for a replacement. What is a good mid-range bulb?
Thanks!
I have the sylvania silverstar ultra H4 and love it.
Midrange bulb: Xtravision

I have been playing with "High Zoot Bulbs" since '73, expect a lifespan of less than a year, I always end up with my OEM bulbs back in the hole. If you go and read the reviews at Amazon, the Silverstar works but the main complaint of the Silverstar Ultra is a short lifespan, same with the XtraVision. After my Piaa Ultra Whites died and after my Sylvania Cool Blues died..both in less than a year. Now 10 years down the road, what do I have...yup the ORIGINAL bulbs that my rig came with from the dealer in Y2K.
I'm not saying they wont be brighter, I'm just saying keep track of the ones you take out, cuz you'll be putting them back in soon.
Sylvania 9003 XV BP TWIN XtraVision Halogen Headlight - Pack of 2

EDIT: I'm finding bad reviews on all of them
Personally, I'm going to give the Silverstar's a try? :dunno_black:
Where can I find the OEM bulbs?
Silverstars are your best bet. Better light output than stock and also alot easier to find as in you can walk into any autoparts store and pick one up without waiting on fleabay and they're reasonably priced. O0
I've been impressed with Philips X-treme Power H4 bulbs. Much better than OEM
