Title: WTB: 1989 GS500
Post by: The Spleen on January 21, 2011, 08:48:50 PM
This is a long shot, but...
My first bike was a 1989 GS500 (bought about 15 years ago) and if, by chance, I came across it I'd love to get it back. Probably not too many identifying characteristics, though... This was in San Diego, and the bike had a salvaged title. There was a small Grateful Dead sticker on the mudflap, it had an aftermarket exhaust can (I think it was Cobra F1) and I painted the passenger footpg brackets. I think it also had a different-than-standard color sidestand (after someone backed into my and busted the original). So if anyone sees something that looks like that, please shoot me an email. Thanks,
Jared

I tried for years to find my 89. I ended up getting a 95 to replace it and never looked back.
