Title: Jetting Question
Post by: Pelikan on February 08, 2011, 04:27:47 PM
So for my intended combination (Yosh TRS + lunchbox), pretty much the standard/benchmark recommendation is one washer, 3 turns.  Instead of doing one turn, testing, two turns, testing, etc etc, can I just set the thing to three turns right out the door and test from there?

Yep. But make sure you turn them in all the way, then back them out 3 turns.

Yes, most of the bikes end up @ 3 or there abouts. A small number need less. A slightly bigger number need more. Its the mid point of the bell curve ... and a shade lean @ idle is recomended because 1, you're not going to lean misfire @ idle cos idle will just go up a shade if lean. 2. If you're rich @ idle, hot starts will be much harder. You really want to just be rich enough that it will start when hot without choke and at all other times will need choke. Cos ... well you always can use the choke to richen for starting, you cannot lean it out.

Cool.
