went to charge the battery and cannot find that nut for one of the post. I try to fit a screw into there but it won't go in. Thanks.
I've used a regular nut before, after grinding 2 sides down enough to fit inside the terminal on the battery
how did you grind it down jeremy_nash? i bought one of those agm batteries and those holes to put a hex nut through is tiny
I was using a nut from a skateboard(the one that holds the trucks to the deck) till I got new ones with my new battery. It worked pretty good and fit snug
Can you show a picture of what you need? I'm going to replace Trey's battery tomorrow (someone put in the wrong one that has the drain tube on the wrong side) so while I do that I can look for the screws or nuts you need.

My agm battery is still good. I just need one nut. Let me know if you need something otherwise shoot me a PM and I can send you my addy.
I didn't get Trey's battery replaced Saturday but plan to do it tonight. So I should have the parts if no one else does. He has one of those backwards batteries and I bought a new one for Junior, who ended up not needing it so...... Trey gets it. Funny to see the battery vent tube going from the wrong side, then UP and OVER the battery before it points down to the rear brake on the right side. DUH!
Just found a perfect LEFT side cover in Germany. Those left covers are nearly impossible to find and this one looks nearly perfect. If its on ebay, I can find it.
Replaced Trey's battery. If you want the 2 square nuts and the screws that went with them, just PM me your address. No need to bother over a dollar postage. Pass the favor on to someone else that needs something.
If seamax doesn't take it adidasguy, I'd be interested in taking the screws and square nuts as I just changed my battery as well, but using 3 washers to keep a temporary screw from drilling into the battery terminal.
If I don't hear from him by tomorrow night then he probably took the others. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the offer addidsguy. Boggy from above is sending me the nut. I bet the above member would appreciate the same offer though. :thumb:

That wrong battery is a buddha idea. Its cheaper ($29) and more readily available (@ walmart) and only precaution you need to take is to route the hose right and get it away from metal. But ofcourse after that buddha started getting wild ideas about putting in a sealed battery sideways, and the rest as they say is history. Or mystery ... whatever.
Cool.
Buddha.

Not sure the point of that posting. I am removing a WRONG battery that someone else put in and putting in the correct battery I got at Aurora Suzuki for Junior but Junior's battery was OK so Trey gets it.

I love this board.
For future reference, it is a common piece of hardware you can pickup at most hardware stores in the UK and US. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?keyword=square+nut&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Good to know. I went to Ace and they didn't have it. I need to probably go to a larger place.
