Title: Can't find the fairing I want
Post by: Chunky_Monkey1117 on November 07, 2003, 10:00:43 AM
I've been looking for a fairing with dual headlamps for a reasonable price but I can't find one.  Well...I did find one but it was a full fairing.  I was only wanting the upper fairing because I still like the naked style of the GS.  They make trillions of fairings that just go around  the original circular shaped headlamp but I don't want to buy something I don't want.  Does anyone make an upper fairing with headlamps for the GS500's or do you have to ghetto rig it?  I've heard that a GSX fairing would work with a little bit of tinkering.  Any info would help.

I just put an aftermarket fairing on my bike. I'll take a pic and post it tonight. I think it looks pretty good. I had to rig up mount brackets because I have the gsxr forks, but I think it would probably bolt right up to the stock GS headlight ears.

What do you call reasonable?

Check out this website for several options for dual-headlight fairings specifically for the GS500: http://www.whaccessories.com/GS500Accessories.htm

I have never bought anything from them so I cannot vouch for them one way or another.

Good Luck
