Title: Engine Swap Problem > Alternator to Rectifier wiring 96 to 02 engine
Post by: illenium on February 21, 2011, 10:41:36 AM
Hi guys, i swapped my 02 engine for an 96 and have one problem, my 02 engines alternator
wiring ends in a plug and all cables are yellow leading from the Alternator. All cables from the
recitifier are black.

The 96 engines has individual leads on the three cables from the alternator, they are color coded. Now
i need to figure out which color coded cable goes with which of the three black cables.

Can anyone help me out here?

Oh yea that's suzuki's cruel joke. The 3 wires are the same.
The next thing is - you need to do some plug swapping ... or cut off the plastic plug and crimp on bullet connectors.
Cool.

Yep, all 3 from the alternator are the same. So you just get the other side with bullet connectors.
BTW electrex's site has a quip about this.
Cool.
