Title: My bike needs a name....
Post by: scottychop on February 21, 2011, 06:17:44 PM
Ok, so addidasguy says my bike needs a name.  I've gone through all the iterations of Suzuki on past bikes.  Let's hear some ideas.

1. Silver (like lone ranger)
2. Werebike (silver bullet)
3. Silver bullet
4. _____________??

Decide on a color. That helps.
Now is it a HE or a SHE? Probably a HE or the wifey might be jealous.
You bought him in Bellingham, so........ Hammy? Bling? (Short for Bellingham)

Does it have any quirks or other interesting features? If it does, try to base the name around that attribute. My first bike was one just like this, a 1983 Yamaha DT100K Enduro. It was the twitchiest bike I've ever ridden, so I called it Twitch (or Dirty, as it came to be, or any variety of expletives when it decided to act up). Or you could keep working with color.

Not my truck, but yes 5 speed.  Awesome little truck.

Qualities of the bike so far, are intake leak, oil leaks (x3), screwed up exhaust, squishy in the corners, too wide in the rear tire (female?), but looking good in my garage!

I am definitely leaning towards female just because.....

Just ask Adidasguy, he rides Junior all the time!  :D

Bikes tend to name themselves. I called mine "Suki" when I first got her, but now I mostly refer to the GS as "the Lawnmower", i.e. "Honey, I'm going to go ride the Lawnmower for awhile!"  :icon_twisted:

Leaking bikes might be best named Exxon Valdez (Valdez for short)  :thumb:
