Is it some sort of paint stripper?

Ya, it's great stuff - in the brush on form. The aerosol cans defeat themselves since the "stripper" effect is negated by air. After brushing it on a tank or whatever (I don't think it can be used on rubber or plastic), laying some plastic wrap over top will stop more air from getting to the stripper.

And they could call the stuff "Skin Stripper" - it does a great job at that too.

If you use disposable gloves use Nitrile and not Latex. The Black ones from China Freight look like they may hold up pretty well.Like Yama Said Double up.Actually put as many Pair on as you can then just strip of a Pair if you have to grab something. :thumb:

I've just printed that to put up at work. I work around aircraft, so I'm sure the tradies and Raafies will have a laugh at it.

Is this the stuff that keeps melting through your gloves as you're using it?

No it doesn't melt the gloves but you can still feel it burn through the gloves.
