Clocks for Bikes made a new mount so those of us with the European (or 1989) bars can still have a clock. They made a mount for the stem bolt. Works good. Didn't cost any extra. Got them for all 3 bikes.

Depending on how your stem bolt was machined, it might be a little tight but does fit if pressed on. I sent them top plates and stem bolts to make the mount that fits. Nice people to work with. clocks4bikes.com
Looks good!
Yeah, those Clocks for Bikes products are great. I have the handlebar mounted clock/thermo combo, and I find myself checking the time frequently. Very handy. They also look good, and are definitely water resistant. They've gotten rained on at least twice since I installed them, still look and run 100%.

EDIT: mister's pic
They look great but do they have digital ones? By the time it takes me to look down work out what time it is I think I would have crashed into someone lol.
I find the quick visual placement of the hands is faster than reading a digital clock.
You can ask them about digital. I don't know.
I had both clock and thermometer on Suzi until I changed to the factory clip-ons. I never realized how I relied on the clock until it suddenly wasn't there! Then I contacted them about a stem amount and they did it! The stem mount could even be used with standard bars. It doesn't seem to get in the way of the bars.
I still have my stock bars with the clock and thermometer on them. I was going to keep the bars but now I don't think I'll ever switch back. Maybe I'll sell the bars, clock, thermometer and top plate.

Glancing at the clock for time takes no longer than glancing for speed or RPM.
Maybe Twisted is that younger generation that never knew the pleasure of Captain Kangaroo and Grandfather Clock (http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/images/smilies/majoreact.gif)

Pelikan those look great!!
Do you know what size is the handlebar on a 2009 GS500F?
I'm thinking about getting me a clock, TIA
I can't find the combo, or did you buy each one separate?
Also, I love their Warranty Guarantee
Quote
Our Warranty is pretty simple.
You lose it,
You break it,
Some Jack Ass steals it,
It falls off,
It quits working,
Someone steals your whole bike,
any reason, any time you ain't happy,
let us know and we'll "make it right."
I've been doing this for a long time now, no kidding,
I will do whatever it takes to keep you happy for three full years!
Thanks, Ross
P.S. Batteries are pretty much your deal, but if you have a concern, I want to hear about it.

These are the ones I ordered...make sure to specify 7/8" bars when paying (that applies to all GS-Fs).

It's not as classy, but I just bought a wrist watch, pulled off the straps and double side taped it onto the bottom of the tachometer. Very useful.
Ross and Linda are great to deal with. I ordered a white 7/8" set (clock and thermometer) for my 94 GS500E. I also ordered a white stick-on thermometer for my DRZ400SM. It already has a digital clock in the instrument panel and it has fat bars.
...ken...

Thanks!
Yep, that's my pic. The thermo in that pic is Celsius not Fahrenheit. So when ordering, specify which - I had to cause the set with Celsius only came in 1" so I made double sure to specify both temp type and size 7/8" for the GS.
As for their warranty. Yep, the clocked second hand - that one that ticks off the seconds - got Stuck on the minute hand around 20 past 12 and 20 past one. Looks like a small curve down. Let me just say, they made it right :thumb:
I've since bought Another set for my other bike - see what have you done thread.
Michael
Eh $1 so if some numnutz steals it I don't care!
