Title: Anyone have a HJC Symax 2 helmet? I have a question.
Post by: zirconx on March 09, 2011, 04:30:40 PM
I recently orderd a HJC Symax 2 helmet, and it arrived today.  When I try to flip up the chinbar it moves smoothly for about 80% of its travel, then it gets hard to move. You have to push it pretty hard to get it flip up that last 20%, hard enough it starts to pull the helmet off your head. Do they all do this or should it move smoothly though 100% of its travel?

I have one of the older Sy-max helmets and it doesn't do that at all. Goes up nice adn easy until it clicks into position at the top.

Be sure t he sunglasses are retracted.

I agree that your helmet might still be like that because everything is flush and new.

I have a Zox Genessis flip-up and my buddy has an HJC flip-up. Neither of us has this problem. Also, both of us can leave our sun visors down with the face fully open, no problems.
