Title: The O rings in a 01+ jet pack from buddha
Post by: The Buddha on March 10, 2011, 07:29:01 AM
I have included O rings in the jet packs for the 01+ bikes.

That is to be used in place of the washers, but the stock needle if I remember has a washer on top. You can use that washer under the e clip and it works just fine. The O ring is the equivalent of 2 washers in case that was needed, so you would return the washer to the top of the stack and use the O ring under the e clip.

I just got tired of not finding washers that fit in these bikes. Let me know how it works guys.

Thanks.
Cool.

can you buy the vacuum o-rings that go under the top caps anywhere normal or do you order those special? I have a ton of o-rings, but none that are as skinny as the originals. Is it ok if I use thicker ones as long as the top caps still fit on well, or is there somewhere that sells really really small o-rings that's worth checking out?

A bit beefier wont make a diff. In fact I have in a pinch used a paper punch on an inner tube and put that round bit in there.
Then some genius said you cant synch the carbs, so I poked a hole in the center of it.
Anyway a bit thicker is OK, but dont put something with a 3/8th inch cross section.
Cool.
