Title: To Paui

The board wouldn't let me resond to your post, but here are my thoughts:

A quart low is bad news when total capacity is only 3 quarts. These bikes use a fair amount of oil, you need to keep an eye on that. The oil light comes on when oil pressure becomes dangerously low - running a quart low will lower oil pressure. Oil also helps to keep the engine's internals cool - which is very important on an air cooled motor. I suspect the bike may have overheated on you. Had you been sitting in traffic or anything prior to the problem? Pull your spark plugs and see what they look like - that will give you some clue as to how hot the bike is running. Burned up electrodes are bad.

Plugs have nothing to do with the clutch.

Your clutch/stalling problem sounds like your clutch possibly needs to be adjusted or maybe you have a fuel delivery/carb adjustment problem? Is the bike stock?

i sent u a PM but ill reply again here....
the oil was only low the first time and i was only in traffic the second time
the bike is stock as far as i know
and also, the clutch problem only ever happened those 3 times the bike went wacko on me...never any other incidents with the clutch
i would think overheating as well except the third time it happened i was going about 60 on a 40 degree day...i kinda had a feeling that going over the bumps had something to do with it b/c it happened right after that...
couldve overheated the first time b/c i was a quart low and the second time b/c i was stuck in traffic but i really cant say the sae about the third time.....thanks

Paui, You didn't do anything wrong.  John has noticed that there were some problems with the board as of lately.  I think that he felt there might have just been a problem with your posting area of the board.  So if I were you I won't feel like you did anything wrong.  I am sure that if you had done so, John or one of the other admins would have pm'ed you to let you know.
