Title: How to measure your inseam?
Post by: Adfalchius on March 19, 2011, 08:47:53 PM
I've read different directions: measure a well fitted pair of pants, measure from the crotch to ankle, measure from the crotch to the floor, etc.  Can anybody share the correct way to measure your inseam?

well from what i know is crotch to ankle. cause WHO wears pants going all the way too floor. i wear 30/30's. thats crotch to ankle. if i took floor, would be 30/waist, and 32 inseam

Current standards call for the hem to fall ~1cm above the floor in standard dress shoes.  So, in stocking feet, one's pant legs would be touching the ground assuming a standard 1.5-2cm heel.

What I'm getting at: a proper inseam measurement will be from the crotch to the floor in a straight line to the inside edge of the heel.
