Title: Fork size question
Post by: angusgst on March 20, 2011, 04:56:01 AM
Hi, I'm converting my GS500F to a naked, and I have a question about fork sizes. There's a 1989 GS500E at a local wreckers, and I was offered a good price on the headlight-mounting hardware. Will it fit a 2005 GS500? I remember reading something about Suzuki changing the fork sizes somewhere around 2002...

Thanks in advance,
Angus

I'm pretty sure they're all the same size if I remember correctly. My 91 had 37mm forks, so just measure the fork tubes on your bike and see if they measure the same.

The fork size hasn't changed over the years. It should fit.

angusgst,

How much are you looking to spend for the headlight and associated hardware? I have the complete unit from my racebike, if you're interested.
