Title: Jetting washers but what about the notches....
Post by: 2Twin on November 09, 2003, 11:00:30 PM
Maybe my aus model is different again to those in the states. I went to put the 150 mains in. (what a piece of cake that was). Thought I would double check to make sure 40 pilots where in and to put in the two washes but mine has notches on it for about the first cm. Each notch seems to be aout 2mm apart so I raised it one notch above standard as I presume the washes required are about 1mm thick.

Is this different from the states models or is mine something aftermarket.

ps I hope I was right in thinking that I should raise it by one notch..

sounds like your might have been jeted once already, the washers are just a way do raise the needle in small incroments just LIKE the clip positions on most jetkit needles

Hi Lee,
Aussie and euro bikes have notches on their stock needles... so you just move the clip down as its on the bike 1 notch for the washer effect...
Just an extra bit of confusion to help you guys out from suzuki...
Cool.
