Title: Advise on a windscreen
Post by: ghostrider_23 on March 30, 2011, 04:52:01 PM
I am getting a real good BJ on the highway and want to change out my windscreen.

I know I want a Zero Gravity, but the double bubbles are on 3-4 week back order.  >:(

I like the looks of the SR,

Lastly I called Zero Gravity and they said there maybe some dealers that have the DB in stock. Does anyone know of any dealers with a DB in stock I can get right away??????? :whisper:

I don't have experience with the DB but I did just switch from the stock screen to the ZG Sport Touring. It is prolly 2-3" higher than the stock screen,

Did you check ebay? I'm not sure what they have for the GS but I know there's a million double bubble screens on there. Worth a look.

Love my Zero Gravity Sport Touring. Tested it out today in 45° temps. Awesome! A little bit of wind at the top of my helmet. That's it. I was nice n cozy.

I'm not sure how much help that this will be but I was looking for the ZG DB on ebay and at online dealers and it seems many had them for other bikes. I was only able to find 1 dealer online that had OUR GS500F model (I mean I didn't look SUPER hard but I looked for a few hours or so). I ordered a few days ago and they replied back with an e-mail saying it was on backorder from ZG for 4-5 weeks. Well actually they had a few colors like red and blue, but not the smoke ones. Some of them may have the touring model in stock, but I was just looking for DB.

I think it was surfsidemoto?

That's where mine came from!

I've searxhed everywhere and so far no dealer has them instock. I or anyone else can order it directly through ZG and avoid the middle man. I guess I will just have to order it through them, wonder why they are on back order though? Seems to me that if a lot of people want them, won't you increase production? :dunno_black:

BTW how is that windscreen on the HWY????

I'm not 100% sure which one I have on my bike (PO put it on), but I believe, based on pictures, that it's the Sport Touring model. I love it, though.
