Title: Gas Generator
Post by: fraze11 on March 31, 2011, 05:13:16 AM
Does anyone happen to have a Gas Generator?  I have a 1400w 4 stroke portable gas generator and lately its been starting to "bog down" when put under load (load that is well within' the specs of the Generator)  ie: a 700w 5.5A 3/8 electric drill will bog it down to an almost stall and I have to back of the drill to keep the generator running.  I did a fresh oil change, drained the fuel, refilled with premium and added some seafoam, changed the plug and cleaned the filter.  Let it run for about ~20min but still no change?

Just thought I would throw it out here in case onyone has a gas generator and knows about this stuff.
Thanks,

might be worthwhile to clean the carburetor. wouldnt hurt anyways. im not talking seafoam or spray carb cleaner. im talking take it off/apart clean thoroughly reassemble/reattach. is there an autochoke on it?
