Title: Whats in the toolkit.
Post by: Cosimo_Zaretti on March 31, 2011, 06:06:30 AM
As I understand it, the GS500 came with a basic toolkit wedged under the seat.  After who knows how many owners mine is long gone, along with the bar end weights and a whole lot of other bits that are probably supposed to be there, I think of it as weight saving.

I'm going to make up a basic touring toolkit with some sockets and spanners to throw in my bag, enough to perform roadside stuff.  I'm curious what Suzuki thinks I need to have with me.

If you're just looking to replace the OEM toolkit may I suggest this...

A little better than  the suzuki kit... Maybe scale it down to fit in a bag under the seat...but you said touring so...

This is what came in my 02. It may or may not be OEM. I assumed it is what Suzuki put in there.
