I would expect almost every battery specialist to have supply of battery acid - I just googled battery sales hawthorne california and there are lots of hits.
Give them a call - they may even fill it up for free!

Any shop that deals in only batteries should be able to take care of you. Or a motorcycle shop - not necessarily a dealer, but a non-branded motorcycle parts/repair shop.

Oreilly Auto sells a 6 quart pack for $12. There is a location in your town. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SSB0/6QT.oap?keyword=battery+acid

Isn't it just hydrochloric acid? Brew your own.
