Man I sure do miss owning one of those. :icon_sad:

Ah yes AKA Widowmakers
Yes the WidowMaker. Those who have not owned or ridden one may not truly understand the truth of that name or the evil that lurks beneath those tins. But it was a fun ride.
"The combination of terror and anticipation always made the ride exhilarating."
Chad
haha, definitely a little before my time, but they do make me want a bike that's just stupid fast
Mmmm... two strokes! Riding a two stroke is like riding an poorly broken horse: Stay on your toes, cuz it'll get pissed and buck you off. Makes me miss my KX.
They were 750cc two stroke tripples...right? Actually sounds kinda scary...way more than I need...or want... :icon_eek:
Later.
Don't forget about the Suzuki GT750 too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVm9_m1Dfas&feature=related
Ahhhh, good ol' water buffalo. Friend of mine has a GT550 after owning a Honda cb175. Quite a step up.
Reminds me- a coworker of mine has a 750 that is rotting away in his brothers garage.......

They get called water bottles here in Australia and I think the Brits call them Kettles. Weird all the names they get. You should look into that 750.
had one i picked up as a basket case. lol sold it for 10 times what i payed for it
Can't say I've ever ridden the GT750.
BTW Kawasaki made several versions of this bike all the way from the H1 to the H3 and the KH. I know of three sizes that the triple 2 strokers came in, 350, 500 & 750. Some of these bikes set records back than and some of those records still stand.
QuoteA 750 H-2 still holds the record for the fastest nitrous injected 750 cc motorcycle, with a standing quarter-mile of 7.776 seconds at 170 mph by Brian Pretzel of Redline Motorsports and the fastest normally aspirated 750cc motorcycle with a standing quarter-mile of 8.24 at 153 mph held by Joe Bird of Fremont Nebraska.
BTW the one I had was a '76 KH500. The bikes for that year were a bit de-tuned, but still mean enough to eat your lunch.

they were old tech yes. BUT if i had to pick a fast bike that DIDNT draw law enforcement attention, the buffalo or similar would be it.
One thing about it, those old triples sure do have a way of getting unwanted attention.

Here's my Lil Orange Monster. :thumb:

I have 2 waterbuffalo's a 72 and 74
68,69,70,71,72 T500's I think?????? :icon_lol:
1 Kawasaki H1 and a H1 with H2 Motor.
The Lil Orange Monster in the Video is my On going Test Mule that I modify.Next thing I'm doing to it is Installing Some Moo Reed's that John Aylor sold me for a Kawasaki H2.I have Cylinders Modified to use Yamahaha Banshee Reeds but that will come later. As soon as I get time I'm going to Modify a Hydraulic Clutch for it.So Far I've only gotten to Milled Heads from Sundial Motosports and Larger Carbs with Expansion Chambers. The Brakes are from a GSX1100 and work way too well.I think I'll be down grading to a single disc and Smaller Master cylinder.
Nice bike and collection you got going there :thumb:
