Brand new my ass.  The fairing I got was in far worse shape than the one I was trying to replace.  Scratches, some big black goober mark.  Tried to email, no response.  Don't buy anything from this dude.

Okay, lie, because here's a pic of your bike with the original rear fairings on it, after a bunch of work was done and the thing obviously ridden.  The piece I bought is from the side in the pic, and I'm not seeing scratches or other blemishes, so I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you replaced the rear fairings because something happened to them.

Either way, you had time to install the Jardine, run the bike at least until the Jardine was showing the amount of heat coloring in the photo, sticker the thing up, add frame sliders, turns, and windscreen.  So yeah, I'm calling BS on your above statement.

Bottom line is I made it perfectly clear to you the rear fairing on my bike had only the tiniest blemish that could be covered up with touchup, and that I would only buy this fairing if it was like described (i.e. "brand new" condition).  The thing I got has chipped paint, a big square inch black mark where it rubbed up against something, and scratches.  In other words, you A.) listed this thing knowing it wasn't brand new, and B.) sent it to me knowing it wouldn't meet my requirements, which in my eyes is pretty screwed up, especially in a cool community like GSTwin where it's all about mutual support and contribution.

K the decalless one is what chef sold to you pelikan ? now there is a bunch of problems on it other than it being decal-less ?

Can you put a pic of it. You think it could have been a shipping incident ?

Cool.

Yeah, it was the rear fender, and as is obvious from these pics some stuff happened to it between now and then.  Definitly not a shipping issue the way it was packed; it's obvious something happened to it either on the bike, or in his garage.  Is the thing absolutely unusable?  No.  If it were stripped and repainted it'd be in "brand new condition."  But I made it clear to this guy that my fender was effectively fine with a tiny, match-head sized blemish, and I'd only want this if it was in advertised condition (i.e. "perfect, brand new").

I'm not one to raise issues and etc, but this guy is trying to get over.

This last one was hard to photo, but there're scratches going all across the top of the thing.  Not swirl marks, but scratches going down into the paint, as if it were rubbed up against something.  The whole thing has small chips, scratches, and marks on it.

Pelican? Did you PayPal the money? I'm sure if you sent a photo to them you could get you money back and make him pay shipping.

Not true.

I bought a part for my Acura, was described as new but when it came it was a used part.  I filled a claim with paypal and it got denied because they don't cover if the description of the item was wrong, they only cover if you never got the part.

Hmmm. I think its disgression based because I had a few Mustang GT parts that the seller was forced to replace because there was numerous messages and communication stating the item was new when in reality it was not. But this may also be the case because it was through eBay.

Yeah, when it's through ebay it's a different story cause you are actually going through them.  When it's a private sale and you go straight through paypal they don't really help much.

Anyway, let get back on topic :)

@Chef -- How can you sit here, spout profanities, string together barely coherent sentences, generally act like a fool, and then think anyone will give you an ounce of credibility?  The mods and/or PayPal will take care of this.  I'm not discussing it further, either publically or via PM.
