Title: Motorcycle warning label
Post by: Cosimo_Zaretti on April 10, 2011, 08:12:45 AM
Of all the bits on my beat up old GS, the part that's survived the best is the original idiot label on the tank.  I love that someone thought motorcycles need some kind of warning label but unfortunately this tank is getting resprayed so it'll have to come off.

I was going to print up a new one, but then I thought it'd be more fun to write my own, and even more fun to throw this one to a few forums for suggestions.

So GSTwins, what warning label would you put on a motorcycle?

I thought the only reason to leave labels like those was lazyness.
Guess I was wrong, to each his own :cookoo:
Title: How about---

#1 Always remember to place feet on ground when coming to a full stop.

#2 Never enter a gravel covered hairpin turn at high speed under full throttle.

#3 Never operate the machine at excessive speeds on moonless nights while wearing a tinted face shield and dark glasses.

#4 Never attempt to quiet squeaky brake pads by the application of 90 weight gear oil.

# 5 Read owners manuel thoroughly before riding---but NEVER while riding.

One of my favorite stories is the time I stopped to help a stranded biker and didn't realize that my boot laces had wrapped around both my pegs...then the stranded biker had to help me get my bike off of me.

Always remember to put down kickstand, before dismounting motorcycle.
Don't laugh. I've seen more experienced bikers drop their bikes this way. :embarrassed:

How about a bright yellow arrow shaped decal placed on top of the tank pointing forward that reads; "DIRECTION OF TRAVEL"

Lulz.

On a more serious note, how about "Remember, anything found in a search after the bike's been laid down is inadmissible as evidence"?

I actually have a warning sticker on the forehead of my helmet that says "do not remove helmet unless you are EMS or Dr"

that is actually quite a fantastic idea

you dont want some idiot to start to take your helmet when you have a fractured neck, moving it all about

hold my head still and strap me to a board please
