Title: Nice way to start the day.
Post by: tucsondog on April 11, 2011, 10:06:27 AM
I Rode to school today and it was fantastic. +5C and a 10kph tailwind. I came in on the #1 eastbound and headed up Sarcee. The sun was up, and there was a low fog across the river valley floor. You could see downtown poking through the clouds in the distance and the sun reflecting off the clouds. At the top of the hill there was a red light and everyone slowed to a stop. A blue impala pulled up on my right and the lady had her coffee, her cell phone going, and her kid in the back. She looked almost sad. A few seconds later, she looked at me and smiled. She put down her phone, set aside her coffee and just smiled. The light turned green and we pulled away, her lane was faster and she was ahead of me. On the bottom of her bumper was a sticker:

"My other car is a motorcycle"

That right there made my day.

I pulled into the parking lot, chatted with another guy on a ninja 250 and headed to class. I forgot my shoes at home, so now i'm stuck wearing my s-MX 5's all day. And ya know what, I don't mind a bit.

Ride safe.

I wear my old issued flight boots for riding...and always keep them on all day. Right now, I'm sitting at my desk wearing them with a suit. The only times I take different shoes to change into are when I'm going dancing or to the beach.  ;)

I have to agree it was fantastic ride to school this morning. Now that Flick is back to his old self   Left a few minutes early took the long way in. Not many folks on the road. It was just me and my guy! I didn't realize how much I actually missed 'ole boy this past week.
