He doesn't want to get rid of it but will for the right price - or - a wrecked car or bike. I guess he's not so desperate to keep it then.

People are stupid. If getting educated means they are likely to lose, its near impossible to educate them. They'd rather stay stupid and keep listing the crap ... afterall pixels are free. There was 1 Idiot selling a wiley co without a flange for 300. I told her 2-3 times over the 3 year period she had it listed that it sold new for 50-60 bucks, and it needs a flange that probably was fitted onto the header pipe. I know cos I made it I said, as well as send he a link to this site if I recall. Hey handle was harley_chick or something like that. If she ever sells it the way it is the buyer is going to be one angry dude. She never responded and never changed anything in the listing. Of course it also never sold.

I blame this also for the housing bubble.

How many times did we hear "they're not making land any more" Irrelevant cos 90% of the country is un populated. And they can make apartments out of thin air and call it condo's.
Or this - We have plenty of land to build on out here in the boonies 60 clicks from nowhere so we'll never run out of demand. Well ... no that's supply and its literally the opposite of demand. So we'll never run out of supply, and hence there will be no demand.
Or this - Now's an excellent time to buy, no matter what, interest rates are low, interest rates are high, prices are low, prices are high, inventory is low, inventory is high ... I call it the "Its an excellent time to pay a commission".

Somebody call that fool, maybe he used to be a Realt-whore. A Ohio resident can get him all excited thinking he'll have a sale.

Cool.

Buddha - I love your rant and agree completely with you point of view. I find, from my observations, the more educated society as a whole becomes, the more common I find the practical application of its knowledge is unable to implemented. Its got me boggled (how odd a word is boggled really, who even thought it was a word let alone made it a common word!) how it works but that's what I witness on a daily basis. Better still watching people's application of their driving skills. That is even more mind bending.

I would guess "boggled" is derived from a "bog" - either getting stuck in one or getting all dirty after being in a bog. "Look - he's so filthy he must have been boggled (i.e. stuck in the peat bog out behind the barn). So today "boggled" is something that is all messed up.

Now who invented the word "proactive"? And what is its opposite?

Hey, let's NETWORK a DIALOG to wit the derivations of business centric verbilizations regarding antisocial repercussions of non-contact argumentative dispute resolutions via twitter!

My biggest annoyance is "I could care less"... Grrrrr stoopid head what you said doesn't make any sense. It Should be "I couldn't care less" - as in I care so little I could Not care less. Sheesh.

I actually partly dont agree, I however think knowledge and any other thing they learn gets siloed. They learn stuff to get through the test they are learning for. Wrong attitude. You learn to get through life. I know the Fe and Hcl reactions cos I learnt it back 30 years ago. There is a link from there to dumping it in a rusty gas tank to get the rust out that needs to be made in your brain - all I can say is ... your knowledge needs to come out of its silo and work for you.

Sadly I think I may be the only one who does that in real life.
