A good start!
How about lowering that headlight and moving it back a bit toward or under the instruments?
Yeh i really want to, but im using the facotory mount points, i think they only way to shorten it is to cut it a couple inches but i dont know how to measure for clearence and i dont think it would make it look THAT much different.
any suggestions?
Do a google search for "cafe headlight mounts". You'll find some clamp on steel brackets that have 3 holes drilled in each. And normally they are around 10 bucks.
or powdercoat teh exhaust manifolds
And try some different mirrors maybe? They kinda stick out.
Yea one fool around here did this to a hayabusa ... something like ... i crashed and forgot to fix it ... I told him while fondling his headlight like you'd fondle a nice wet pu$$y ... "nice it looks like a great big Bagina" ... man did this big fat black dude look like I stepped up and kicked him in the nuts in front of all his girl friends.
So ... yea at the rsk of sounding like a total liar ... it looks beautiful ... yea ... yea ... lovely. Just plain lovely.

Funny, I've got a GS500E and am thinking I need the GS500F, b/c the wind buffeting is killing me on the Sawgrass.
Looks like it needs a round headlight to me.
I wonder if the rectagular headlights will come back into style. I mean, all the high school kids I see now are looking like 1984.

What model & year is that Honda? Might make a nice boyfriend for Suzi since Trey and Junior have become a couple. (Suzi feels left out, though I do rider her almost every day.)
Meh...I kind of agree with Buddha; if you want a naked bike, put a round light on it.

You do not want any of that POS, there is 2 of them free around my house.
The V4 motor is very very very very very hard to do any work on, it has cams that get eaten if you look @ it sideways, and its weight distribution is right on par with a road roller. Of course it is as heavy as one too and rolls on 100 and 120 tars.
There is a 400 twin that not too bad though, that guy is a sabre V45 or V65 ... 750 or 1100 CC. The 400 twin is OK, the rest are crap.

No way man ... I'd paint little black squiggly lines around the edge of it and a nice fat pink free hand line down the center.
Cool.

And get a 97-01 katana tail light ... in fact get 2 of em and fit em on ...

was thinking that myself. light needs to come down and in a tad. BUT to teh OP, nice work so far. to me however that light looks out of place, can work there, jus needs ot move a tad. thats just my opinion , now hte mirrors, maybe bar-ends?
Here you all go. I used my mad MS Paint skillz to update the GS500 with a retangular headlight... also added some nice looking mirrors... ain't it cool O0

I remember in the '80s it was considered cool as all getout to add rectagular headlights to hot rods... one of those things you never see now. I think we should totally revive that trend again.

I think I would need to get a twin bug eye style light setup, but the light shell has to be big enough to stuff a bunch of wiring into. Anyone know of a headlight set that would be big enough for that ?
Cool.
