Hello all, I have a 2007 gs500f and I am having an issue with my vacuum system. I have vacuum reaching a 3 way solenoid valve attached to the bottom of the carb, but no vacuum coming out. I am not getting any voltage reading on the 2 wires going to it. The 2 wires are coming from the ignition control module on the left hand side of the bike. Can anyone tell me how this solenoid valve is supposed to work (what voltage should I be getting at the solenoid valve and what causes the module to send the voltage to the solenoid valve). I am not getting any vacuum to operate the fuel petcock. I have to run it in "pri" position.
Thanks for any info you can give me.
Dave
Ummmmm......what?
Are you talking about a fuel gauge sending unit on the underside of the tank? Pics would be helpful.
no, attached to the bottom of the right carb is a 3 way solenoid valve that controls some of the vacuum system. I will get pics tomorrow.
This is a link to a carb with a good pic of the black 3 way solenoid attached under the right carb.

is this something I can just bypass and put in a 1/8" joiner? can I put full vacuum pressure to the fuel petcock without damaging the diaphram?
This is listed as a "Check Valve Assembly".

Sorry I can't offer you specifics on how it works. It is not present on my older model.

Actually it is item # 49 on that diagram, the 3 way valve assy. But thanks anyway.
