If you're referring to front brake levers (not switchers) then there are other threads that have rather accurate lists of compatible brake and clutch levers.

Based on the part number, thread title and post itself, he is referring to the actual switch.
As for cross referencing part numbers, such lists already exist on sites like bikebandit, ronayers, etc. After finding the part in question, just look for the little link that says "Fits Others" or "Compatible with" etc.
