Title: Yoshimura TRS vs Scorpion exhaust can
Post by: ghostrider_23 on April 16, 2011, 06:08:55 AM
I am well on my way to making my first mod to my GS. After posting so questions, doing so reading, lots of Youtube watching I think the exhaust can is where I want to start.

My question is:

I really like the looks of the titanium finish but I can't find any sound clip to hear how it would so on a GS

I had a Yoshi TRS SS (stainless) can and I've since removed it, I got mine on ebay for 280 bucks.  Dont get a can, get this instead.

I dont have the jardine...I actually wish thats the route I had of went.  There are tonnes of yoshi videos you can hear.  I have a few I can send you if you want when I had mine, the video files are just quite large.  and when I had the can, yes I had to rejet.  I had it all done at a bike shop.

Pipecity has the Jardine system slightly cheaper and offers free shipping:  http://www.pipecity.com/Search/CategorySearch.cfm/_1/Street/_2/Suzuki/ManuID/14/_3/GS500

This is one of the better videos I have come across demonstrating the sound.  I find sometimes people either post a 5 second sound clip...or dont rev the bike??  Which doesnt tell you much...anyway, this will give you a good idea of the sound (if you havent seent this clip already, you likely have tho)

I have the Jardine RT-One system, it sounds pretty decent after 4.5k RPM

Anything before that, sounds kinda like a four wheeler (personal opinion!)

But with ANY aftermarket exhaust, you should rejet.
