Title: WTB: bar ends for a '91
Post by: piscesph89 on April 25, 2011, 09:56:05 AM
Looking for some bar ends if anyone has them.  Let me know how much shipped to 18104.  Also, question if someone knows: what other years will fit the '91?  I saw a pair from an '06 gs500f on ebay, would that fit?  Thanks.

All bar ends fit.
Only difference is real early ones screwed in and later they used a rubber expanding bushing.
If your bars don't have the nut welded in, then the later ones will work. If you do have a nut welded in, you'll just have to shorten the screw and not use the bushings. (The screw hole does not go all the way through the nut welded in there)
You do need weighted ones. Pretty looking aluminum ones with no weight will not help dampen handlebar vibrations.
I prefer the R&G bar ends - heavy and nice looking (just look for pictures of my bikes to see them).
